Monday December 19th 2011

Bluewater has won top ranking in an industry league table of UK shopping centres.
The index by retail property specialists Trevor Wood Associates placed Gateshead’s Metro Centre in second position while Westfield Stratford City, which opened in September, came third. This was followed by Westfield’s other London development in Shepherds Bush.
The shopping centres were ranked according to attractiveness to shoppers, range of tenants, weekly footfall and the facilities available.
The index has revealed that the largest the largest shopping centres are not always considered the most attractive with 21 of the hundred largest UK shopping centres not featuring in the top 100.
